A peak into Abigail's 1st birthday party!

So, Abby will be turning 1 in 2.5 months (agh!). I'm certainly not ready for her to be 1, but, I've started planning her birthday party, teehee. Here's a little sneak peak.

Bathing Beauty

A couple of days ago, my friend Jessica and I went to the park. It was nice and warm out, so, I put Abby in her bathing suit and let her play in the fountain. She was very unsure of it, at first, but, she eventually warmed up to it and had a little fun. I can't wait until the weather is more consistent so I can take Abby more often!

This picture is from the same day that my friend, Jessica, and I went to the zoo. We were at Jessica's house, and, trying to keep Abigail entertained. Jessica brought out this little walker, and, as much as Abby loved it, she doesn't even take steps yet. She kept pushing it forward and her body would fall forward while she held onto to the handle bar. I was so funny, but, I felt bad that she didn't know what to do with it. As you can tell from the picture, she was really miserable, haha.

Sadly, I do not have any pictures from recently...I'll have to steal some from Jessica (as I did with this one) because, I've been bad and have left my camera at the apt. while out and about.

Just a typical day with some exciting moments.

Abigail and I had a fun day today. We went to the grocery store and stocked up on fresh food (I cleaned out the fridge/freezzer and there were FOUR trash bags of spoiled food). In order for future waste not to happen, I planned out meals and shopped accordingly...sort of, haha. I have a hard time getting myself to cook those meals. But, I'll have to.

When we got home, Abigail went down for a nap, and, I was able to get some chores done, and, then made dinner. Hot dogs for me (haha) and for Abby: thawed peas, a cut up veggie finger (like a chicken finger), 1/4 banana, very watered down apple juice, and a 1/4 of some yobaby yogurt. She was trying everything but the banana and juice for the first time. She liked all of it...though, I'm still trying to feed her. She gets so distracted and wants to move, so, I can only keep her in her bumbo for so long.

Exciting news:
Abby has been army crawling for a while now and she really improved while Christian was home. She has also surprised me three times with sitting up. I've never seen her do it, but, when I went to get her from her nap, there she would be, sitting upright in her crib. Well, just a few moments ago, when freed her from her bumbo, she immediately began crawling away ON HER KNEES. She then turned to look at me and sat back down. I was so excited that I began to cry!!! It's so incredible to watch such a small child accomplish so many things. She was very proud of herself, haha.

A Day at the Zoo

Yesterday morning, my friend, Jessica, called to see if I wanted to join her on an adventure to the zoo. I was bored, and thought that Abby would really enjoy it, so, I decided to tag along. We met up around 10am and started our adventure. We fed the giraffes, which, Abby was a tad scared. Noah had so much fun for the first few minutes, but, then became scared, as well. We decided that it was time to move along.

There were so many cute animals! My favorite were the monkeys and the cute bear that climbed a tree for us!!! OH, and while we were at the lions den, a whole bunch of kids were tapping on the window. Jessica and I were standing really close so that we could try to find the lions. All of the sudden, one jumped up against the window, claws out and gave us all a heart attack! Everyone was laughing because the whole group jumped at least a foot. We were also able to see a peacock with it's tail extended. Abigail's favorites were the swinging monkey's and snacks, haha.

After the zoo, we drove through Fazoli's for lunch and then headed back to Jessica's. I had Abby try out some garlic bread and fettuccine alfredo, but, unfortunately, it was not a hit for her. She did, however, enjoy playing in it. I had a big mess to clean up, but, I'm glad that she was so excited to play around...and, she did eat a few pieces of the garlic bread.

While Jessica and I were at the zoo, we had spotted the coolest stroller. We harrassed the poor woman with all kinds of questions, and, after lunch, ventured out to find it. Neither one of us bought it, yet, but...trust me...it IS the stroller I want when number 2 is here someday. Not that anyone here cares...moving on.

After we were done looking around, I dropped her off at her place and Abby and I headed home. Poor Tupac had been locked away in his crate for 12 hrs. and the angel didn't have a single accident. He had many treats for his suffering, haha.

Oh, and Abby has been really good with eating her finger foods. Last night, she had diced banana, shredded turkey, and cubed cheese. Yummy!

I love my wonderful Husband!

It has been a while since I've last blogged, but, for a good reason. Christian came home from Iraq on Sunday, May 10. It was the best Mother's Day present I or Lynda could ask for. Abby took to him very well and has become quite the daddy's girl. Though, I still supply her comfort, haha...so, if she's tired or grumpy, she's still handed to me.

Lynda, Abby, and I greeted Christian at the airport on Sunday morning. We came home immediately so that we could relax for a little while, though, we did have to stop by Sonics first, so that Christian could have a breakfast burrito and limeade. Sadly, Chick-Fil-A was his first choice, but, it was Sunday, and closed. Bruce drove down later that morning to see Christian. We went to Whole Foods to get food for dinner. Lynda made steak and veggies and it was so yummy!

On Monday, Christian and I had a fun day. We went out to Chick-Fil-A for breakfast and Panera bread for lunch. We also went to see Star Trek :-). It was soooooooo amazing. Sadly, Christian got food poisoning from one of those places and was feeling the effects of it later that night. On Tuesday, Christian spent the entire day in bed :-(.

On Wednesday, Ben, Christian's best friend came up from FL to visit. We hung out in Colorado Springs for a couple of days and then headed up to Estes Park (one of Christian's and my favorite places!!). We got to see a lot of elk and eat some yummy food! Christian's Uncle Arthur and Aunt Cindy came to visit us while we were staying there. We went to a Jazz festivle with them and then out to eat at a really neat restaurant. Abby loved the italian, and, the staff there loved her. They also gave us a free round of drinks for Christian's service to our Country. Before we left, we stapled a dollar to the wall with our name, date, and why we were visiting. The next morning Ben left early and we packed up as well.

We went back to Colorado Springs for a couple of days to get some errands done and to spend more time just relaxing. Well, I guess we were too bored, because, we ended up buying a television, haha. We watched some Planet Earth, which, was soooooooooooo neat in HD. The next day, Lynda drove Justin (Christian's brother) down from the airport. We went to lunch at Borriello Brother's and had some yummy thin crust pizza. From there, Lynda headed back to Westminster, and, Christian, Justin, Abby, and I headed back to the apartment. We pretty much hung out until the next morning, when we left to come up to Westminster.

On Saturday, we had yummy French Toast for breakfast, and RAMEN for lunch! After lunch, the guys headed out to the Nuggets game. Lynda and I got a babysitter and went to see Star Trek (yes, it's worth it to see it two times). When we all got back, we just relaxed at home. This morning, Christian, Lynda, Abby, and I went to Church. Bruce had to take Justin to the airport :-(...where he sat all day since his plane was delayed. After church, we went to Einsteins for bagels. From there, Lynda went to the nursing home to read and sing while Chrsitian and I had some fun at Best Buy, Old Navy, and Borders. For Lunch, we met up at a Japanese restaurant and ate ate ate (that's what we do). Now we are packing up ready to go home so we can relax the last couple of days before Christian goes home.

I promise to add pictures later on tonight. There are soooo many. I might have to make two posts for pictures.
