Well, Abby and I have been in FL for four days now to see my Grandmother. She is doing better, but, we have no idea what is going to happen. She had a stroke, so, her speaking ability has gone down, but, everyday is a new day and her wording becomes slightly better. I also think that she is starting to recognize us a little bit more. It's so hard to see her like this when we just saw her over Christmas. She wasn't too great then, but, she wasn't so guarded as she is now. She is so strong willed and stubborn, so, she won't speak if she doesn't feel as if she can say what she wants to say. When she gets overwhelmed or when people fuss over her too much, she just says, "goodbye!"

We saw my other Great Grandmother, Granny Hall...I'll try to take a five generation picture at some point before going home. Heather is also in town, and it has been so nice to see her and Lauren. I always miss my family so much. I never thought that I would say this, but, I wish that we were all living in Pensacola again. I always think of Abby in PCC, hahahha...yeah right. There isn't a school here that I would want her to be in :-P. Maybe PCA, aghhhhhhhhhhhhhh...they wouldn't accept a child of mine, hehe...I was kicked out at four years old. I liked the swirly slide...not the dumb elephant nose of a slide, I wanted to sing itsy bitsy spider, not old school Jesus loves me...I see Abby with that same spunk.

This week...

I can't say that this has been the best week. My Grandmother Romaine has been in the hospital and not doing very well. I have been checking my email constantly only to receive bad news after bad news. Today, I finally decided to book a flight home to spend what might be my Grandmothers last days with her. I didn't have any time to cook or think, really, so, I ordered a pizza for dinner. I ate a couple of slices and got busy with laundry and other cleaning that needed doing before I leave tomorrow. I finally decided to grab the left over pizza and freeze it. The box was empty. I SHOULD HAVE KNOWN THAT TUPAC WAS ACTING SKITTISH!! Darn dog...he knows that he did a bad thing, but, he couldn't resist. Not only did he eat almost an entire box of pizza, but, he peed on this floor earlier today when Abby and I went to get mail. This dogs days are numbered. I'm a little nervous about how his tummy is going to be tomorrow.

Yesterday, Jessica came over to exchange Christmas gifts. It was fun, but short. Abby got a purple jogging outfit and a few books and I got a book, Christmas Angel ornaments, and lotion. It was fun, but, short since Jessica had to leave so that her husband could go to work. I have a few pictures from yesterday (mom, she's wearing the Scottie dog stuff you gave her for Christmas :-P)

I introduced banana's to Abby today. She didn't like them because they were too sweet. I also tried putting them into her cereal and she liked that much better.

lots of picture for lover

Well, this morning was wonderful. I woke up early to a panicky Tupac...he couldn't see everyone at once. You see, Lynda came down to spend the weekend with me. She slept in Abby's room (there is a bed in there) and Abby, Tupac and I stayed in my room, as usual. Well, this morning, at 6am, Tupac was ready for Lynda to come out and play, therefore, I had to get up to keep him distracted. I put Abby in her bumbo to watch baby einsteins, fed Tupac, checked my email, and heard a rumble. I went to pick Abby up and noticed a brown puddle in her bumbo. I turned her around, and noticed the mess on her pants. It was odd that it was on the outside, so, I pull her shirt up, and yup, it all came from over the top. Yuck, yuck, yuck. Anyways...she had bath this morning and she enjoyed herself very much.

Ahhh, reality has finaly kicked in.

I have to say, I was spoiled while I was back home. I became so used to having at least five other helping hands. Now, here I am, back to typing with one hand, doing the dishes and other various chores with my tag along riding my hip. Back to the mad dash clean ups during every precious 15 minute nap Abby takes. And, back to the snow. Oh Florida, how I miss thee!

This morning was a major wake up call when it came to driving in the snow. I thought it was easy peasy, especially with nice tires on our car. I drove down the entrance way to our complex this morning as usual and all of the sudden, it was as if I had no breaks. We just slid straight into the road. I paused, took a breath, said a prayer, and continued on my way to work. I get to the end of my road and take a quick left, not wanting to wait while the other hundreds of cars drove by. Well, thank goodness no one else was driving in the lane that I turned into, because, my car lost traction and turned in a full circle. Again, I paused, took a breath, said another prayer, and drove 20 mph the rest of the way to work. Lesson learned!

Here are a couple of pictures from today. I learned that my camera had a timer, so, I had fun jumping into a couple. I'm working with Abby on sitting. Haha, she's not too great at it yet, but, she'll get there...in a few months :-P.

Finally back home

Well, Abby and I are finally back home...more to come later, but, a couple of pictures for my love.
